Kinsley 6 weeks old

Little Miss Kinsley Laree- 6 weeks old
-  14.2 pounds
-  Growing out of 3 month clothes
-  Just started wearing size 2 diapers
-  I definitely think she's bigger than any of my boys.
-  She's starting to stay awake longer periods of time, but still sleeps a lot
-  She loves baths! Even when she's crying I'll put her in the bath and she stops.
-  I've been able to get her to smile several times now
-  She has grandpa hair now with the bald ring around her head.
-  She's starting to put just a little pressure on her legs as I try to get her to stand up on my legs.
-  She can hold her head up very well, but she has actually been very strong from birth.
-  Right now she has dark blue eyes, we'll see how they change.

We love our sweet little girl! The boys are all so cute with her.  They all run to her as soon as she wakes up. Reminded me of when myself and siblings would run to whoever was the baby at the time.
Kade is a huge help and loves being the big brother that can carry her. I trust him picking her up, putting her down, walking around, and even go down the stairs with her. He does a great job.
Bryson is sweet and often asks to give her a kiss. He loves to hold her but it's about 30 seconds and he's done. He loves to take pictures with her.  I love that I caught him on video singing to her a made up lullaby song.  Something kind of funny, Bryson seems to have taken a curiosity to me breastfeeding and one day asked "can I drink from that?" and another time "can I drink that milk?"  He's 5, I didn't expect that from him.
Teagan loves her but often it's a little too much, kind of rough.  He says "Kenzee love me". Although one time he held her and she started crying and he said "mom, Kenzee don't love me". He'll hold her for about 5 seconds and always ends in a kiss.  Every time I give Kinsley a bath, Teagan says, "mom, I take bath with Kenzee".
Glen wishes he could hold her more but loves having a little girl. I love putting new little clothes on her and think she's so cute I have to take pictures of her in each outfit.
We love our fatso!

My 28th Birthday

Just thought I'd post what I did for my birthday. I got to play some basketball on Tuesday night with some adults from the ward. I had tons of fun and so felt like it started my birthday on a good note. Being pregnant I think was my defense because no one wanted to touch me so they don't hurt me. I played hard though besides walking up and down the court. Haha.
On my bday it was pretty normal during the day so I was happy to get some phone calls and voicemails with visits and birthday songs. Thanks everyone for your thoughtful calls, messages, cards, etc. I loved it! After Glen got off work, he surprised me with some beautiful tulips saying "here's some tulips for your two lips!" He always gives me a good laugh! (The side profile with the flowers was to show my belly at 22 and 1/2 weeks). He also got me a new set of pots and pans, which we needed to replace our very first set since we were married 8 years ago (that we got from Glen's sisters at my shower). Glen and Kade then made a Lego Bday sign for me! I love it! I didn't want to cook for my birthday and Glen only has one working arm, so we went to Applebee's as a family and then got " rise of the Gaurdians" at redbox. It was a fun family evening. The next day my good friend Rebecca brought me a cake, my visiting teachers were also so thoughtful and generous and gave me a beautiful scarf (the one I'm wearing in front of the temple. We took this picture last Saturday when we had our Lewis temple day. ) and gift card to Olive Garden. Then on Friday some girls planned a girls bowling night to celebrate mine another girl's birthday and then got dessert at a restaurant called "firetap". I'm so grateful to be in this ward and feel so comfortable with these fun ladies! It definitely helps me being away from family! I had a very spoiled bday thanks to family and friends. Thanks so much!

2013 Fur Rondy Fun

Saturday, Feb. 23, we went downtown for Fur Rondy festivities. We barely made it to the end of the parade but our spot happened to be the spot where the parade returned. So it worked out nicely; saw the end of the parade as the beginning was returning. I didn't think of taking pictures until it was too late, so there's only a couple cars for show. We then saw the beginning of some of the dog races. That leather blanket on the floor by Bryson was for the "blanket toss". I stood in one time to be one of the holders, they basically have random people hold on around and on three they pull and the person flies up and when they land it just stops, there's no bounce. Kind of cool concept. It was quite cold, so we ate lunch in the mall, then went to the carnival and let the boys pick a game or ride. Bryson's game was guaranteed a prize, but Kade's we were so excited that out of at least 8 other people, he won! We then saw the outhouse races, which were hilarious! After a while, Bryson was so tired he just fell asleep on the floor, and I had to get a shot of the couple in the giant fur coats next to him. We went to see the ski jumps for a bit but it was snowing pretty good by then and Teagan was screaming, so tired and cold. We decided to drive to the fireworks and sit in the car, fortunately we got a pretty good spot. And by then Teagan was happy and we were able to enjoy the snow sculptures. They were still being worked on but still amazing!
